Tito Mendoza is a seventh-generation master weaver of tapestries from Teotitlán del Valle, a town where 90% of families are dedicated to weaving, protecting this tradition and keeping it alive. Tito draws inspiration from his roots in Zapotec culture. Mendoza's fine and intricate woven tapestries have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Museo de Arte Popular in Mexico City, the Santa Fe International Folk Art Market, Fiber Art VIII International: Biennial Fiber Arts Exhibition, the International Contemporary Crafts Exhibition CraftForms 2021, and the World Art Market at the Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Tito Mendoza es un maestro tejedor de tapices de séptima generación procedente de Teotitlán del Valle, un pueblo donde el 90% de familias se dedican al tejido, protegiendo esta tradición y manteniéndola viva. Tito se inspirar de sus raíces en la cultura Zapoteca.
